Abstract

Based on the identification of color leaved plants,the color leaved plants in Thousand-isles Lake are classified as evergreen plant,single spring color plant,single autumn color plant and double colors of spring and autumn plant,each of which is stated their current species respectively.Among them there are 10 tree species with high ornamental value and strong adaptability,namely Nyssa sinensis,Alstonia scholaris,Ternstroemia gymnanthera,Pistacia chinensis,Acer buergerianum var.ningpoense,Pseudolarixamabilis,Diospyros kak,Liquidambar formosana,and Sapium sebiferum.The paper discusses their biological and ecological characteristics,ornamental value,utilized way,result of landscaping and presents some suggestions on the utilization and protection of color leaved plants
