Color-leafed plants can enrich green landscape effect,improve landscape quality and create a beautiful garden environment,they play an increasingly important role in the landscape construction.11 kinds of new color-leafed plants were applied in Zhumadian city since 2007.They were Canna glauca L.,Photinia serrulata,Lorpetalum chindense var.rubrum,Ligustrum japonicum'Howardii',var.variegata D'Ombr,Trachelospermum jasminoides Flame,Vinca major cv.Variegata,Lysimachia nummularia 'Aurea',Acer rubrum L.Ke and Liquidambar formosana Hance.The application forms in green construction were group planting,planting in rows,ground cover and beautiful parterre,it made good use of ecological benefit and landscape benefit of color-leafed plants.
