Abstract

OBJECTIVE To observe the effect of nasal septum perforation repairing with autogenous tragus cartilage. METHODS The clinical data of 17 patients with nasal septal perforation were studied. Different surgical methods were used for repairing the perforation according to the size of the perforation. RESULTS All the patients were cured and the perforation heeled well. Postoperative followup for 6 to 12 months showed no recurrence and without any adverse reactions. CONCLUSION The application of the autogenous tragus cartilage for repairing the perforation of nasal septum is more effective, convenient and low cost. It is worthy of popularization and application.
