Abstract

The Ming Dynasty was an important period for central government to set up local government in Guizhou,and which made slow progress.Because of complex background of historical geopolitics,the characteristics of local government of Guizhou in the Ming Dynasty was different from inland's such as the process of setting up,spatial distribution and pattern of running.A lot of local governments were set up under the protecting of wei-suo,or local government was set up in the form of integrating military organization with government administration,gai-tu-gui-liu advanced gradually and last for a long time,which led to the characteristics of local government such as the dependence of setting up,incompleteness of government system and the unbalance of spatial distribution.
