Abstract
In this paper, micro optical technique is used in light guide plate of backlight system. With the detailed analysis for ray transmitting of light guide plate, the analytic expression of diffractive light field distribution is deduced from the scalar diffraction theory. This analytic expression is integrated into the applications of small size display and its physical meaning is also discussed in detail. The results show that the brightness enhancement effect of integrated micro light guide plate is 1.5 times as the traditional methods. This paper can provide theoretical basis for practical fabrication.
