Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of treating infertility induced by hyperprolactinemia majorly with heat-sensitive moxibustion.Method Eighty-five patients with infertility induced by hyperprolactinemia were randomized into a treatment group of 44 cases and a control group of 41 cases. The treatment group was intervened by heat-sensitive moxibustion plus oral Bromocriptine, and the control group was by Bromocriptine alone.Peripheral prolactin(PRL) levels of the two groups were observed before and after treatment;therapeutic efficacy, pregnancy rate, and abortion rate were compared between the two groups. Result The total effective rate was 95.5%in the treatment group versus 90.2%in the control group, and the difference was insignificantly significant(P0.05).The two groups both had marked changes in serum PRL level after treatment(P0.05).The change of serum PRL level in the treatment group was insignificantly different from that in the control group(P0.05).The pregnancy rate and abortion rate were respectively 59.1%and 3.8%in the treatment group versus 36.6%and 26.7%in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion Heat-sensitive moxibustion plus medication is an effective method in treating infertility induced by hyperprolactinemia.
