Abstract
Phosphorus is a key eutrophication factors of the majority of water bodies. After the outside phosphorus pollution sources all under control, endogenous phosphorus enter into water bodies through series of complex process and become the main phosphorus pollution source of eutrophication.Nowadays, there are lots of studies on sediment phosphorus all over the world, but lack of comprehensive systemize and conclusion. In this paper, the endogenous phosphorus pollution was systematic summarized from following aspects: phosphorus forms in sediment, the mechanism of phosphorus releasing and the environmental factors that influence the phosphorus releasing. Some controversies and drawbacks of the existing researches were analyzed so as to provide some help to the subsequent investigation in this field.
