Abstract
The field experiment was conducted to study the effect of chelate liquid fertilizer application on the yield and quality of tomato and the physical and chemical characters of soil in plastic greenhouse. The results showed that under the same application rate of fertilizer, there were no significant differences in tomato yields among the trials, which were all higher than that of CK.The tomato treated by medium-concentration liquid fertilizer with irrigation had more vitamin C and the lowest nitrate content, and also the highest nitrate-N and alkali-hydrolyzable N,higher ammonium-N content and available potassium content and the lowest available phosphorus in soil.In one word, under the conventional water and fertilizer supply, the application of medium-concentration liquid fertilizer with irrigation could not only improve tomato quality, but also enhance the N effectiveness, reducing P accumulation in soil layers and improving K accumulation.
