Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical effect and safety of the combination of domestic calcipotriol ointment and 308 nm excimer laser in the treatment of plaque psoriasis. Methods A total of 60 patients with usual plaque psoriasis were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, and each group contained 30 cases. The treatment group received external use of calcipotriol 2 times/d combined with 308 nm excimer laser 3 times/week, and the control group was treated by 308 nm excimer laser 3 times/week alone. After 8-week treatment, the curative effects were observed. Results The difference between the total effective rates of the treatment group(90.00%) and the control group(63.33%) was statistically significant(P0.05). The curative effect was good in the treatment group with shortened treatment course and fewer adverse reactions. ConclusionThe combination therapy of domestic calcipotriol ointment and 308 nm excimer laser is safer and more effective than the monotherapy of 308 nm excimer laser in treatment of plaque psoriasis.
