Abstract

Four species of Machilus Nees from China and Vietnam are revised in this article.M.longipedicellata H.Lec.is reduced as synonym of M.yunnanensis H.Lec.,M.thunbergii Sieb.et Zucc.var.condorensis H.Lec.is reduced as synonym of M.lohuiensis S.Lee,but Poilane’s 13161 which had been determined wrongly by H.Liou is M.cicatricosa. While those specimens been determined by Chinese authors as M.longipedicellata H.Lec.should be M.duthiei King ex Hook.f.widespred in Himalayan region.
