Design and research of fully-suspended tundish car for slab caster

Abstract

Fully-suspended tundish car is usually used on square billet caster and it is adopted on 170 mm×880 mm slab caster for the first time after analysis on the structure and production technology of tundish car.The structure of tundish car is designed and the calculation for the driving system is made by this article.It is used on continuous caster of TOSYALI Iron and Steel Company in Turkey in a good operational condition and it resolved the problem in equipment maintenance below tundish car and improved production efficiency.
