Abstract

Provincial panel data collected from 2000 to 2011 are adopted to build the dynamic panel data model and the effects of innovation and entrepreneurship capabilities on regional productivity are verified with SYS-GMM analysis method. The results show that they are both the power which promotes regional productivity, but both have weak positive influence on regional productivity;innovation capability has relatively positive influence on total national productivity at the level of 10%,while entrepreneurship capability's positive effect is insignificant;innovation and entrepreneurship capabilities don't have significant negative or positive effects on regions other than those double high capability regions where the positive influence is significant at the level of 10%.Some countermeasures and suggestion on the improvement of innovation and entrepreneurship capabilities and enhancement of regional productivity are put forward in this article.
