A Summary of the Second International Academic Seminar on the Reform and Social Changes in the Late Qing Dynasty

In order to strengthen the construction of the historical science of the late Qing and promote the development of the study on the history of the late Qing Dynasty,the 2nd International Academic Seminar on the Reform and Social Changes in the late Qing Dynasty was held by Hebei Normal University and Chinese Academy of Social Sciences from August 6 to August 8,2007,in Chengde.In the meeting,the experts centered around the topic of the late Qing Dynasty's reform and social changes and made in-depth discussion on the reformation of political system,the relationships between the central and local government,finance,culture,and historical figures in the late Qing Dynasty.
