Abstract
China’s modern library came into being in the late Qing Dynasty.There is a larger trend in the academic circle in terms of the study of Chinese library history in the late Qing Dynasty.The studies focus on: 1.The study of the causes of the library in the late Qing Dynasty;2.The study of the relationship between the individual and library in the late Qing Dynasty;3.The case studies;4.Some other studies,such as the research of the library staging in the late Qing Dynasty,library rules and regulations,the condition of establishment,social functions,etc.The multiaspect and comprehensive researches have made gratifying achievements.the inadequacies of the study lie mainly in the theory,method,content and historical materials.
