Clinical observation of capsular tension ring implantation during phacoemulsification w ith lens subluxated

Objective To evaluate the efficiency of capsular tension ring implantation during phacoemulsification in the subluxated lens.Methods Capsular tension ring was implantedin 11 cases(12eyes)of subluxated lens after continuous curvilinear Capsulorrhexis during phacoemulsiifcation.The capsular tension ring was necessary to be fixmed on sclera if the luxated area was lager than half of acircle.Afterthe ring was implanted,phacoemulsification was performed and foldable intraocularlens(IOL)was implanted.Results All cases were smoothly implanted capsular tension ring and IOL.After the operations,all cases had improved visual acuity,right position of IOL,No seirous complications happened.Conclusion Capsular tension ring implantation could improve the safety of phacoemulsiifcation.It can prevent the lOL deviation and decrease the surgerial complications
