Treatment of diabetic macular edema by vitrectomy with internal limiting membrane peeling

Objective To investigate and discuss the therapeutical effect of vectromy associated with internal limiting membrane peeling in serious proliferative diabetic retinopathy with macular edema. Methods To choose 19 serious proliferative diabetic retinopathy with macular edema patients (21 eyes) and make the vitrectomy associated with internal limiting membrane peeling.Results No operational injury and complication happened in all the 19 patients.The sight of 15 eyes improves,the 4 is same as before and 2 decrease. Conclusion Performing vitrectomy associated for grave PDR with macular edema patients is beneficial to the macular edema , improve sight and the curative effect is satisfied.
