Abstract
Objective To evaluate the curative effects of vitrectomy combined with macular internal limiting membrane peeling on diabetic macular edema. Methods Forty patients(42 eyes) diagnosed with proliferative diabetic retinopathy(PDR) with macular edema. All patients underwent vitrectomy combined with macular internal limiting membrane peeling. The data of visual acuity,FFA and OCT,and the complications were observed after 1,3,and 6 months after surgery. All patients were followed up for at least 6 months. Results Of the 42 eyes, visual acuity increased in 31,did not changed in 8,and decreased in 3.No complications occurred in the patients. Conclusion Vitrectomy combined with macular internal limiting membrane peeling is beneficial to ameliorating the macular edema and improving vision in patients with diabetic macular edema.
