Abstract
As was clearly stipulated in the strategic plan proposed by the fifth plenary session of the 16th CPC Central Committee,promoting the construction of socialist new countryside is one of the most important tasks in the eleventh five-year.This long-range historical task is also a strategic step in dealing with the issues of agriculture,countryside and farmers.To accomplish the task,all social forces are expected to be actively involved.Agricultural colleges and universities have been playing a significant role in resolving the issues of agriculture,countryside and farmers.This paper explores the role that these colleges and universities are to play in building socialist new countryside through channels such as training talents,technology innovation,transfer of technological advances and innovation services.
