Abstract
According to the age of conodonts fossils discovered recently in the Kushanhe formation of Kalabaxitage section in the Yingjisha region of southwest of Tadm basin, and the age of brachiopods, corals of Kushanhe formation of this region, the age of Kushanhe formation was suggested to be the mid tle-upper Famen stage of late Devonian. The fossil assemblage,, particularly the brachiopods in Kushanhe formation are similar to the fossil assemblage of south China in the same period. The Devonian-Carboniferous boundary in southwest Tarim basin can be delimited between the Kushanhe formation and the Kelitage formation
