Abstract

The application of Standard IEC 61850 was elaborated in this paper from both sides of data object unified modeling and communication mode in substation automation system.Examples of how the modeling method defined in IEC 61850 corresponding to the actual device and function were illustrated,and the communication methods between substation equipments as well as between the substation and the control center which defined in the protocol were summarized.It provides a reference for the application of IEC 61850 Standard in substation automation systems.
