Effect of Kuianchun on the growth performance and reproductive endocrine in rats

Abstract

Different dose of Kuianchun was given to 8-week-old Wistar rats for 40 days to study the influence of the drug on the growth and reproductive endocrine. The results showed that Kuianchun could obviously promote rats′ growth at the dose of 10 mg/kg body weight which equaled to 150 mg/kg added to the feed. The levels of P4 and E2 in blood serum in experiment group were higher than that of control group, but there were no significant difference between them.
