Abstract

Objective: To detect the expression of tissue inhibitors of metalloproteinase-1(TIMP-1) in liver cirrhosis tissues.Methods: All 52 liver cirrhosis specimens were detected by immunohistochemistry(S-P).Results: Proteins of TIMP-1 were detected in all liver tissues from 52 liver cirrhosis patients,all in cytoplasm but not nucleus.Conclusion: TIMP-1 may play an important role in the development of liver cirrhosis,especially TIMP-1 was tightly correlated with clinical pathologic factors.
