Abstract
Rapid economic growth in the process of industrialization has done great damage to the ecological environment, which in turn, affects the sustained economic growth. This paper makes an empirical analysis of the relationship between the economic growth of Shaanxi Province and her environmental quality, leading to the conclusion that the paradox between the three kinds of industrial waste and the GDP per capita does not show the typical inverted U-shaped Kuznets curve.Based on the conclusion, countermeasures are put forward——strengthening environmental management and taking a new way to industrialization. The study will provide a valuabe reference for other provinces.
