Abstract

AimTo estimate the curative effect, adverse reaction and cost-effectiveness of tinidazole and metronidazole for tretment of helicoba cler pylort. Methods80 patients with helicobacler pylort were r andomly divided into groups for treatment with oral tinidazole (the treatment gr oup)or oral metronidazole (hte concrol group) respectively. Their curative effec ts and the adverse reactions were observed, meanwhile both cost-effectiveness of them were evaluated by pharmacoeconomics. ResultsThe effective ratios were 97.5% and 92.5% (P0.05)for helicobacler pylort. The ratio of th e adverse reaction was 5% for tinidazole and 22.5% for metronidazole (P0.01 ).The cost-effectiveness ratio of tinidazole was 1.48 and 0.92 for metronidazole (P0.01). ConclusionBoth of tinidazole and metronidazole ca n tret the Helicobacler pylort effectively. The cost-effectiveness ratio of metr onidazole is lower than that of tinidazole. But the adverse reaction ratio of met ronidazole is Higher than that of tinidazole.
