Investigation and analysis of depression in old patients with coronary heart disease

Objective To investigate the degree of depression in old patients with coronary heart disease and nursing. Methods: The structured questionnaire( SDS) was used to survey the depressive mood of 67 old patients with coronary heart disease and to compare with old healthy persons. Results: The score of the patients with coronary heart disease was higher than that of the normal control group( P 0.01), and the scores in female patients were no statistical difference with the comparison of the male patients ( P 0.05). Conclusion: The old patients with coronary heart disease had obvious disturbance of depression and the degrees in female patients were the same as in the male patients. The appropriatel psychological care would be important in clinical practice.
