Surgical treatment of lower lumbar nerve root port stenosis with exterior and interior decompression of nerve root

Objective To evaluate the therapeutic effect of lower lumbar nerve root port stenosis with exterior and interior decompression of nerve root.Methods 67 consecutive patients who fell ill in lower lumbar nerve root port stenosis with severe acroanesthesia and root pain underwent exterior and interior decompression of nerve root.the average follow-up time was 3 1.5 months.The therapeutic effects were analyzed by the standard of improved Nakai Classification and evaluation.and evaluation.Results 56 cases gained excellent reslt,11 cases gained good reslt,The excellent and good rate of therapeutic effects was 92.5%in aJl cases.Conclusion Exterior and interior decompression of nerve root had the merts of thorough decompression,root pain swiftly relieved and nerve function swiftly recoveried,which is an efective approach for treatment of lower lumbar nerve root port stenosis.
