Abstract
Low-carbon city are becoming a new highlight on the development of world cities.This paper describes the content and features of the low-carbon city,and stresses the importance of low-carbon cities' construction in China in the current situation of the global warming and rapid urbanization.At the same time,this paper constructs a mechanism to achieve low-carbon city,designs the path to implementation in phases from city planning,city investment and production,city living and consumption,forms the development model of low-carbon city which the government guidances,the investors coordinates,the public and other social institutions participate actively,achieves the co-ordination between the low-carbon emission targets and city economic growth.
