Comparison of the Efficiency of Construction Industry among Four Districts: Beijing,Shanghai,Zhejiang and Jiangsu

In this paper,the efficiency of construction industry among the four most developed districts(Beijing,Shanghai,Zhejiang,Jiangsu)are compared by DEA methods.By the comparison of data of the four districts in the same year and that of the same district in different years,the efficiency of these four districts’ construction industry can be summed up with the index of total efficiency,pure efficiency and scale efficiency.It shows that the efficiency of Beijing’s construction industry is lower than those of the other three districts.There’s a need to improve the management and prevent construction enterprises from expanding aimlessly.
