A Comparative Study on the Market Concentration Ratio of Construction Industry among Beijing,Shanghai,Jiangsu and Zhejiang

This paper makes use of the CRn Index,the Lorenz Curve and the Gini Coefficient to take a comparative analysis on the market concentration ratio of construction industry in Beijing,Shanghai,Jiangsu and Zhejiang.The conclusions indicate that every index of the market concentration ratio in Beijing is better than those in the other regions.It means that compared with the other three regions,the large-scale enterprises of Beijing construction industry have more market power,and the construction enterprises have a better sharp-cut level of scale and the structure is more reasonable in Beijing.This paper takes an analysis on these four regions with their different construction industrial structure,which mainly focuses on the differences in regional local market scale and industry positioning of each region.At last,on the stance of Beijing construction industry and in combination with the analysis and result of this paper,some policy recommendations for future development of Beijing construction industry are given.
