Study on the issue of conversion from MapGIS data to ArcGIS data in second national land survey

Abstract

Presently,two popular GIS softwares,MapGIS and ArcGIS,have a large market share respectively,and they have their own data format.MapGIS has always been used in mineral exploration sector,with the increasing use of ArcGIS,there will be a need to convert the large quantity of MapGIS data to ArcGIS data.So,it is urgent to realize sharing of these two formats of data for the effective use of resources.This paper made a in-depth discussion of the method to achieve data conversion,and described the process in detail of the conversion from MapGIS data to ArcGIS,analysed the issue with the conversion and put forward solutions.
