Abstract

With the extensive use of GIS technology in all the related fields, data sharing has become into a crucial issue for GIS application, while spatial data conversion is one of the most important means for data sharing in nowadays. This paper, with some successful experiences and experiments as foundations, suggests that a schema that integrates E00 file format with that of MIF should be used to solve the problem of data loss and failure occurring in data conversion from editions lower than MapGIS 6.6 into ArcGIS with E00 file format.
