Abstract
Objective:To study the morphology characteristics of maxillary second molax so as to help the clinical work.Methods:Sixty-one extracted maxillary second molars were collected. The length of tooth, crown and root, the width of the crown were measured and the number of roots were observed. Results:The length of the tooth was 19.46±1.65mm.The length of crown was less than the length of root. The tooth length had significant relationship with the root length and the crown length, the same as the mesiodistal width and buccolingual width(P0.05).Most teeth have three roots(49.18%).Conclusion:Morphology characteristics of maxillary second molars were complex.
