Abstract

Objective To study the therapy of vulvovaginal candidiasis in college student patients and observe the efficacy of fluconazole(150 mg) in the treatment of vulvovaginal candidiasis infection. Methods Fifty patients suffered from vulvovaginal candidiasis were found and selected in this study.Microscopic examinations of the vaginal discharge were performed to analyze the yeast species.All the subjects were treated with single dose of fluconazole(150 mg).The symptoms and side effects were recorded.The microscopic examinations of the vaginal discharge were repeated after the treatment.Results The mycological curates were 90% and 98% respectively one week or 10 days after the treatment. Conclusions The protocol of single dose of 150 mg of fluconazole is safe and effective.
