The Characteristics of China's Ethnic Peoples in the Wei,Jin and the Southern & Northern Dynasties

During the Wei,Jin and the Southern Northern Dynasties,lots of ethnic peoples migrated to the Central Plain of China,while the Han moved southward.As a result,many ethnic peoples lived together,in sharp contrast with the former patterns of separated living and economic activities.In the long course of the ethnic integration,the pattern of different origins with the same development had been established in the North while in the South,it was featured by the patterns of both the different origins with the same development and the different developments with the same origin.The Han people had enjoyed rapid progress and the Han culture became greatly enriched during the cross-cultural communications and collisions.These developments paved the way for the greater ethnic integration in the Sui and Tang Dynasties.
