Research on the Development of City Agriculture in Guangzhou

With the fast development of urbanization, the city agriculture has been an important part of social economy in a big city. It is closely linked to urban economy development and public lives as a fundamental industry. It possesses some functions, such as ensuring lives, developing economy, and stabilizing society, keeping the ecology balance, tourism and leisure. In this paper, we state the present station of the city agriculture in Guangzhou, and analyze its advantageous position, agriculture layout and structure, and some obstacle factors. And then we bring up some strategical measures about the city agriculture sustainable development in Guangzhou.
