New Interpretation on 'Jiujie'

Abstract

The meaning of Chinese word Jiujie has developed by five new kinds of extensional meaning in recent years,which are still in the dynamic meaning system but widely used.Exploring from the perspectives of Chinese lexics and sociolinguistics of language,these new extensional meanings accord with the law of development of Chinese word meaning and at the same time reflect the people's psychology change with the time.
