The Analysis on the Same and Difference of English and Chinese Metaphor Concept from the Angle of Conhition

Cognitive linguists holds that metaphor is an important method of people's cognition.As a cognitive activity in which human beings use the experience of a domain to explain or understand that of another domain,metaphor is the mapping of concepts between the two cognitive domains.The application of metaphorical concept shows that metaphor is universal across cultures,but at the same time,it has some differences in their application because of their different social and cultural backgrounds.
