Abstract

Styrene-acrylic emulsion with core-shell structure has been prepared by use of preemulsion and seed emulsion polymerization technology. The influence of initiators, emulsifier, monomer and temperature on the preparation of emulsion are discussed. The optimum conditions were : m(initiators)∶m(total monomers)=0.4∶100.0, m(emulsifiers)∶m(total monomers)=2.2∶100.0, m(styrene)∶m(butyl acrylate)=1∶1 and the reaction temperature controling at 80~82℃.
