New Datum of Bryoflora to Hebei Province,China

Since 1995,Zhao Jiancheng with his colleagues have been investigating and collecting Bryophytes in the Taihang Mts,the Yanshan Mts and the North Plateau,Hebei province systematically.After differentiation,there are 246 species and varieties of Bryophytes,belonging to 110 genera and 33 families,of which 53 taxa are newly recorded for the area. The first author together with Li Mengjun spent 13 days in North Hebei,July 1998,making investigations in 6 counties and collected more than 800 packages of Bryophytes.Based on the careful study,8 species,which are Encalypta spathulata,Weissia newcomeri,Tortella fragilis,Jaffueliobryum wrightii,Tayloria serrata,Leucodon sciuroides,Amblystegium trichopodium,Kinbergia praelonga ,are first recorded in Hebei province.The publishment of the 8 species is to provide datum for the study of Bryoflora diversity as well as for the protection of them. All the voucher specimens concerned in this paper are preserved in the herbarium of Hebei Normal University(HBNU).
