A Taxonomical Study on Genus Bryum Hedw.of Hebei,China

On the basis of a view of the advance of research on the genus Bryum Hedw.(Bryaceae,Musci) and according to the specimens more than 500 packets collected from Hebei province,23 species of the genus Bryum are reported.A key to the species of Hebei province is provided.In addition,the ecological environments and geographical distribution of these species are offered.The aim is to provide datum for the systematic study and the statistical analysis of mossflora diversity as well as for the reservation and application of bryophyte resources of Hebei province as well as China.The general data on habits,diagnostic,geographic distributions and illustrations about these taxa are discussed.The studied specimens are deposited in the herbarium of Hebei Normal University(HBNU).
