Thoughts on Including Commercial Insurance in Social Security System

Commercial insurance,which has the function of financial compensation,capital accommodation and social management, is a fundamental method to manage the risks under the conditions of the market economy and also an important part of social security system.With the deepening and development of the reform,the pattern of the social interests has persistently been adjusted and the traditional mode of social management demands transition;therefore the government needs to import a commercial insurance system which will play a part in social management and perfect the construction and innovation of the social security system. This paper,through discussing the present condition of social insurance in China,and the position and function of commercial insurance in the construction of the social security system,explores the feasibility and methods of perfecting the social security system in commercial insurance.
