Abstract

Objective To discuss the relationship between CN-40 pulse pressure and the occurrence of cardiovascular diseases in hypertensive patients. Methods One hundred and eight patients with hypertension admitted into our hospital from January 2011 to December 2012 were selected and divided into group A and group B according to the situation of complication. The group A was for simple hypertensive patients, while in group B, patients were combined with cardiovascular diseases. The clinical manifestations and pulse pressure in both groups were analyzed and the correlation between the occurrence of cardiovascular diseases and pulse pressure was observed. Results Compared with group A, the age, course of disease, and high blood pressure value were higher with a statistical difference (P 0.05). The incidence of cardiovascular diseases was highest when the levels of patients' pulse pressure were between 61 mm Hg to 80 mm Hg. Conclusion By measuring the pulse pressure, it can effectively predict the occurrence of cardiovascular diseases and have some certain guidance on the prevention of the cardiovascular diseases.
