Expressions and clinical significance of CXCR-4 and OPN in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma

Objective To investigate the expressions of CXCR4 and OPN and to explore the occurrence and development of the role and its clinical significance in in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC) tissues.Methods Use S - P immunohistochemical staining method to detect CXCR -4 and OPN expression in 60 cases of ESCC tissues and of tumor - adjacent normal esophageal tissues.Results The positive expression rates of CXCR -4 and OPN in 60 cases with ESCC tissues were 76.7%and 80.0%respectively,and significantly different from the positive expression rates of tumor - adjacent normal esophageal tissues,which were10.0%and 5.0%respectively(P0.05);The expression of CXCR -4 and OPN in ESCC tissues was closely related to the clinical stage and lymph node metastasis(P 0.05).Conclusion CXCR - 4 and OPN in ESCC tissues was highly expressed,which may indicate rapid development,late course and there is lymph node metastasis of the disease,may be an important indicator of clinical prognosis and guide treatment.Simultaneously detecting the expressions of CXCR -4 and OPN may provide important information for the diagnosis and therapy of ESCC.
