The Combination of Rujia and Daojia in Traditional Moral Education and its Modern Enlightenment for the Reform of Education and Morality in China

Based on The Analects of Confucius and DaoDe Jing,We find that Confucius promoted and drew from Laozi's thoughts of moral philosophy and moral education in many aspects of Confucian moral education.They had many common views;both of them liked to seek truth and did a lot of things,and rejected to talk much.They are modest to the people.They are merciful and humble.They had strong determination even in the poor conditions.They held the view that moral education should depend on the moral model but not the teaching in words.A person's good character depends on the subject's self-education.They enlightened us a lot in the revolution of school education and moral education.First of all,the revolution of education should take historic culture and the educational tradition in consideration to use the past for today.Secondly,we should not deny one theory at all or fully accept it,but instead we should be modest in educational revolution.At last,as the moral foundation and core,the traditional good morality of mercyshould be promoted and carried forward in the field of reformation of the construction of moral education.
