Abstract
From changes of TFP obtained by Malmquist index and decomposition of agricultural structure, the growth of agricultural TFP in China is mainly driven by technology progress. The decline of productive efficiency has a negative effect on the growth of TFP.Concerning the fluctuation of TFP in agriculture among regions, the growth of TFP in the eastern China is significantly higher than the ones in the central China and western China, and this gap also tends to further widen. At last, some suggestions are put forward to resolve the problems.
