Abstract

To investigate the effect of high temperature on antibacterial activity,the antibacterial substances were induced in larvae of the housefly by pricking.After the induced hemolymph was bathed for different time and temperature,the supernatant was test against Micrococcus lysodeikticus and Staphylococcus aureus respectively.Diameters of clear inhibitory rings were observed and recorded to express antibacterial activity.The resalts implied that the antibacterial activity of antibacterial substance induced by pricking in the housefly was stable against high temperature at a certain extant.Antibacterial activity weakened along with the increasing of bath time at 80~100 ℃,and did not change at 60 ℃ even for 0.5~10 min.
