Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical effect and:Interventional fechnology of a combination therapy of percutaneous radiofrequency ablation(RFA) and transcatheter arterial chemoembolization(TACE)in primary hepatic carcinoma. Methods 14 cases of primary hepatic carcinoma patients of Child-Pugh grade A or B with total of 21 lesions underwent TACE combined with CT-guided RFA treatment.preoperative and postoperative CT,MRI imaging were studied with follow-up 20 months. Results All patients were treated with combination therapy successfully Postoperative fever, local pain and transient liver dysfunction was the common Phenomenon without serious complications. Conclusion Transcatheter arterial chemoembolization(TACE) combined with percutaneous radiofrequency ablation(RFA)in primary hepatic carcinoma could improve the treatment.
