Abstract

Bagasse was employed to be as adsorbent to remove Cr(Ⅵ) in water in this simulation research. The affecting factors on the adsorption of Cr(Ⅵ) from aqueous solution on bagasse, such as pH,shaking time, bagasse dosage, initial concentration of Cr(Ⅵ),and temperature were investigated.Adsorption kinetics and adsorption law were investigated. The results showed that in the temperature of 50 ℃,pH2,adsorbent dosage 2g/100mL,shaking time of 1 hour,Cr(Ⅵ)concentration of 50 mg/L,the removal rate of Cr(Ⅵ)can be as high as 90%.Adsorption kinetics of Cr(Ⅵ) onto bagasse obeyed pseudo-second-order equation. The isothermal adsorption can be described well by Freundlich,Langmuir models.
