Study on the effect of coated compound fertilizers on the yield and quality of pepper grown in plastic shield trellises

Based on a growing study in plastic shield trellises,the effect of controlled-release compound fertilizers manufactured by our lab on the yield and quality of pepper were investigated.The results showed that the fertilizers can markedly improve the yield and the quality of pepper.On condition of the same amount of fertilizer,the yield of pepper with coated fertilizer treatment was 157.28% higher than that with non-coated fertilizer treatment.The yield of pepper with 70% fertilizer and blend treatments increased 34.27%,150.45%,67.43% higher than those with non-coated fertilizer treatment,respectively.The contents of Vc,Soluble sugar,the plant height and fresh biomass weights of pepper applied with coated fertilizer treatments were also improved.
