Abstract
A field experiment was conducted to study the application effects of slow-release fertilizer and nitrogen inhibitors on pepper for exploring the effects of slow-release fertilizers on pepper production. The results showed that applying slow-release fertilizers could significantly increase the growth vigor and VC content.Meanwhile, pepper yield and fertilizer utilization rate were increased.Compared with conventional fertilizers, applying 96 kg/667m2 Shikefeng slow-release fertilizer could increase pepper yield, nitrogen utilization rate, phosphorus utilization rate, potassium utilization rate by 8.51%,9%,10.8% and 6.6% respectively. However, the pepper yield would be decreased when applied with excessive fertilizers.
